DOCUMENT DE CIRCULATION POUR ENFANT MINEUR (DCEM)

AADAEL FAMILLE

What are the conditions ?

In France, a foreign minor residing in France can obtain a Movement Document for Foreign Minors (DCEM) in order to facilitate their travel abroad. Here is a summary of the main information:

Who is concerned ?

  • The DCEM concerns foreign minors residing in France.

  • For minors born in France, at least one of the parents must have a temporary residence permit, a multi-year residence permit or a resident permit.

  • For minors born in Mayotte, at least one of the parents must have a temporary residence permit, a multi-year residence permit or a resident permit.

Period of validity :

  • The DCEM is valid for 5 years, renewable.

Renewal :

  • The DCEM can be renewed for a period of 5 years until the child reaches the age of majority.

  • The renewal process is similar to that of the initial request.

It is important to note that these conditions may vary slightly depending on the specific situation of the child and the requirements of the relevant administration. I therefore recommend that you make an appointment with our office in order to complete the steps to follow to obtain a travel document for a minor child in France.
