For minors born in France, at least one of the parents must have a temporary residence permit, a multi-year residence permit or a resident permit.

For minors born in Mayotte, at least one of the parents must have a temporary residence permit, a multi-year residence permit or a resident permit.
Period of validity :

The DCEM is valid for 5 years, renewable.
Renewal :

The DCEM can be renewed for a period of 5 years until the child reaches the age of majority.
